Firstly I’d like to say how proud I am to be involved with a wonderful bunch of kids. Whilst it was a difficult period for all … in one of the weirdest seasons anyone could ever imagine, these young men played the game in the right spirit every weekend. Training may have been a different story but it was a weird year for all so it’s easy to forgive them for being a little loose at training. I could count on one hand the amount of training sessions we had with a full team but whilst the sessions were disjointed due to poor weather or lack of players, they would always showed up on game day and play with the right attitude..

The improvement was evident towards the back end of the year as they started to play as a team and like the year before it was great to see them finish off the year with a win.

I’m not going to single any players out for special mention this year as I think they all did such a great job in a year like we’ve never seen before.

To the parents, thank you for all your help throughout the year.

To the coaching staff, thank you to Chris, Tony and Jo. It was a difficult year but I think we did ok.

To the players, you should be super proud of your efforts. The way you handled this year is a credit to you and your parents.

Whilst I think I’m done as a coach I hope to stay involved with training and hope to see you all next year.
