This year I had the privilege of watching fifteen young boys develop into young men.

Of all my years of coaching this would have to be one of my favourites. We had a few new guys come to the club and a few guys that had never played before.

Getting our season off and running wasn’t easy and halfway through the season we were sitting down near the bottom of the table with only scoring nine goals and having twenty one scored against us. These young men didn’t give up, and the harder I pushed them and trained with them the better they responded and they turned their season around by climbing the ladder all the way up to a semi-final spot by scoring thirty goals in the second half of the season and only conceding six.

We unfortunately got knocked out during the semi-finals, but if you had asked me in round three how I thought our season would end, then I would have totally underestimated the drive of this team and never dreamt of a finals position.

To say that I’m proud of these guys would be an understatement because I am so much more than that.

Our team of Champions was made up of, Nathan, Harrison, Hudson, Oscar, Simon, Jack, Ruben, Max, Ryan, Cooper HC, Ethan B, Ethan H, Cooper S, Lucas and Charlie.
