After an excellent season last year finishing top of the ladder in the ‘Cs’ the step up to ‘Bs’ was exciting – finishing last and being relegated back down to ‘C grade’ was not an option!…and I won’t mention the weather!

We signed some new faces to strengthen the team, Sam, Ethan, Marcus and Charlie. A couple of pre-season training sessions to gel the team and we were ready to go!

An early tweak of formation (coaches learn too!), once we knew the level we were up against, the team settled into the games really well. A few games where other teams got that decisive goal in the last minute or even last 30 seconds to win or draw was the key learning this season. Some major injuries also this year but the boys supported each other and stepped into positions they may not normally play.

We knew every game would require 100% effort, skill and determination and overall, every single player played such an important role this season and individually you should be very proud of what you have achieved.

Sealing a 5^th place finish was an excellent achievement and proves the team can easily compete at this level.

Big, big thanks to the boys for all your hard work and effort this season it was amazing. It has been a pleasure to coach you again this year.

Big thanks to parents and other pitch-side supporters cheering the boys on throughout the season. As our No#1 fans we hope you have been entertained!
