Well what a year it was! Once we finally got the season under way, we started with our first and only win of the season. However along the way we played some great soccer and all the team grew in their skills, and had fun each and every week, which was our golden rule.

Alana – she led the way most weeks, and really gave it to all the boys she played against. She never gave up and regularly playing big minutes she learnt to go to the ball rather than hanging back.

Benny – was our little engine that could, he kept going and going and going each and every week, following the ball like a magnet.

Caleb – improved enormously throughout the season, by the end of the season he was defending well, and using his left boot to perfection.

Dominic – the inventor of the notorious 20m run up, which caught on very quickly. Dom scored some absolute cracking goals, including one from halfway.

Xav – the veteran of the team, the only one who had played previously. Xav learnt so much over the season, developing a love for tackling (no more slide tackles bud!)

Special mention to all the mums, dads, grandparents for supporting the team each week through some tough times. Also to Hayden for helping us out when we really needed it most.

Even though we didn’t get a lot of wins, we had an absolute ball all season and I loved coaching the team in 2020. I hope that everyone plays on again in 2021.
