6F Season Report
All of the boys were playing their first season and had to learn everything from scratch. In the beginning the boys needed lots of direction on the field but by the end of the year they were all running around like they had been playing for years.
It wasn’t the most successful season results wise however the boys always played with a smile and enjoyed every minute of every game, regardless of the result.
Ashton – Loved to try and dribble the ball around every player in the opposition and on a few occasions managed to do so. Ashton will be unstoppable in his second year of under 6s.
Hudson – Almost always won the biggest kick game at training each week and all of the races. He used those skills to score some great goals throughout the season.
Finn – Finn never stopped running all year, on the field, off the field, even at training. Finn scored my favourite goal of the season, going the length of the field.
Flynn – Started the season a little bit hesitant but quickly grew in confidence and by the middle of the season was the first one to charge in and tackle the opposition players.
Lachlan – Lachie missed the start of the season for an amazing UK holiday and the end of the season with an injury but he had a giant smile and enjoyed every minute of the games he did play.
Lincoln – Lincoln loved tackling and chasing back to make sure the goals were always protected. He also scored some great goals by never giving up on the ball in the second half of the season.
Thank you to Niki (manager) for keeping us organised and at the right place at the right time each weekend
Thanks to all the parents bringing the boys to training and the games each week, also for stepping in for training and games when I wasn’t available.
Some great friendships (parents and the boys) were developed this season and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it.
Look forward to next year!
Paul
