What a year. By far the best year this side has had. It has been a pleasure coaching the boys for the first time. The improvement I have seen in them over the year has been incredible and I am super proud of all of them

Training was always an interesting night… Some were great, others had me wanting a drink…

But when game day came, the boys were always switched on and what I tried to teach them at training surprisingly had actually sunk in.

Our focus this year was defense. The boys listened (surprisingly) and it paid off!

Our defense this year was the reason we went so well.

Everyone should be proud of the year they had, they are a great bunch of kids who love playing together. They all bring something different to the team and it works so well

I am looking forward to doing it all again next year

Also a big thank you to all the parents who helped the team over the season, either on game day with me asking the time every 10 seconds… Or at training, it was very much appreciated. Thanks

Ollie – AKA Mr Fix It

Ollie was our every where man this year. He covered every position and Ollie and the team didn’t miss a beat in whatever role he played. Could play him anywhere and he would kill it. Every team needs an Ollie.

Archer – AKA Twinkle Toes AKA Freddy

Our target man up front. Runs like Fred Flintstone. Archer can sniff a goal from any where. Scored a hattrick mid way through the year dazzling the defense with his moves. Definitely a footballer not a league player. You better be at soccer grading next year

Reihn – AKA Stephen The Irishman

What a madman. Teams hated playing this kid. I loved watching him. Every tackle was like a car crash waiting to happen. I couldn’t look away. A big part of the reason why our defensive wall was so good this year.

Jack – AKA The Big Dog

Pound for pound the toughest kid in the comp. Fought and scrapped for every ball in the midfield. Never gives up. Could not be prouder of the effort you put into every game and the footballer you are becoming.

Ky – AKA The Silent Assassin

First year in the team for Ky. For a quiet kid he came into a team of loud lunatics. But Ky fit in straight away. He doesn’t say much but he let his skills on the field do the talking. Great addition to the team. A pleasure to coach.

Lucas -AKA The Rock

The second part of our defensive trio. Solid as a rock back there. Nothing got past him. A natural defender who was an integral part of our defensive wall.

Jayden – AKA Mr Reliable

The third part of the defensive wall. Close to man of the match every week. Consistently put in great performances week in week out. Great season mate.

Channing – AKA The Flash

First year in the team for Channing. Quickest kid in the comp by a mile and an absolute goal pig. Scored some cracking goals this year and took out the golden boot with 12 goals for the year. Another great addition to the team.

Michael – AKA Superman AKA Clark Kent

With a left foot shot that goes faster than a speeding bullet. In the last few games this year he was definitely Superman. Scoring the goal of the season with a double chip over 2 defenders and slotting the goal. Well done mate
