9H-1 Season Report
The 9H-1 were an amazing team and an absolute pleasure to coach. They worked well as a team and refined their skills throughout the year. They were all very enthusiastic and had a very impressive season, suffering only 1 loss. They all gave their very best at all times.
A big thankyou to all the parents for your support, especially on those early morning games. A special thank you to Alison Halstead for Managing our team. A lot of work done behind the scenes. Thanks also to Nick Cheesley for his assistance with the coaching duties.
Ashton: Ashton returned this year with some fancy ball skills. He kept his opponents confused and sometimes himself. His focus in goals kept many of our opponents frustrated and sometimes scoreless.
Blake: Blake is our mightiest defender. He was a goalkeeper’s knight in shining armour. His ability to get back in time to defend our goals was amazing. He also did an amazing job as a goalkeeper.
Jack: This was my first-time seeing Jack play. His enthusiasm to learn was amazing. Jack showed great speed on the field, especially to get back and defend. He was always enthusiastic to play in all positions.
Jasper: Jasper has matured into one of our key players this year. He was a star Stricker and a shooting machine. Jasper was amazing moving the ball on field. His lightning speed left many of his opponents behind in his tracks.
Kade: Kade had the ability to clear the ball using his left or right boot. When it connected, it was gone. He loved playing fullback and did a fantastic job in goals. Another defender that frustrated our opponents.
Lachlin: The kid with the bionic boot. Lachy could kick the ball from half way and almost find the back of the net. Even our opponent’s goalkeepers were ducking for cover when lachy approached. An asset to team.
Lucas: The Flash. When Lucas got a hold of the ball, he was off. Another star Striker and a scoring machine. Lucas has refined his ball skills this seasons. His ability to move the ball forward was a goalkeeper’s nightmare.
Maveric: Maveric returned this year full of enthusiasm. He moved around the field well, coming close to scoring on a few occasions. I think those new boots may have had something to do with it.
Milo: Our little pocket rocket. Milo would go in for a tackle and without his opponents realising, he’d steel the ball and be off. So close to scoring on many occasions. A tremendous job as a goalkeeper as well.
Rehan: Rehan’s skills developed so much throughout the season. He was an amazing defender. He had the skills to move the ball around the field and head towards the goals. A great Striker and a genuine all-rounder. Never giving up.
