2024 saw us in SWE. A welcome decision instead of trying to keep up with the hip young ones!! We started off with what we thought was going to be a great season.  

We spent quite a few weeks at the top of the table, a welcome change from last year. Until regrading wasn’t in our favour and then the rains came! 

We had some player changes again this year with most regulars returning and a few replacements. With 18 signed up, surely, we would have numbers covered each week!! 

We welcomed back Julie, Michelle, Caitlyn and Vanessa, they just had to come back to us for another crack. 

We also had the return of Naomi and Christie and welcomed newbies Jesse and Sam. 

Charlotte also got over her ‘sciatica’ and amazingly popped out a baby and returned to the pitch.  

 Ashlee – A broken wrist had her sidelined for a while but when she returned it was back to her normal solid performance. 

Ava – Always reliable in the mids, actually anywhere on the field!! 

Caitlyn – Called by the thrill of the Olympics, left us halfway through the season, we missed her in defence. 

Charlotte – Creche on the sidelines with the kids in tow. What an amazing effort to return after popping out Andi early this year!! 

Christie – Come back queen, like she never left!! We knew we missed her sweeping but didn’t realise how much till she was back from touring Aus.  

Christine – Colossal!! You may be small in size but you can never underestimate your determination, skills and sass!! 

Jesse – Just magic!! You are a delight to have on our team. We hope you loved it as much as we have loved having you. 

Julie – Jumping all over the place to save some amazing goals and save our buts numerous times!! 

Lauren – Left, Right, or Mids, always in their face and performing well!! 

Mez – Machine!! So reliable no matter where you are positioned. 

Michelle – Most improved this season!! Such a great year, the improvement and determination in your game is outstanding!! 

Naomi – Never fails to perform. In between ambo shifts, we loved having you back Naomes!! 

Nicky – Never stop Nicky!! You are absolutely amazing to still be playing quality soccer in your 60th year!! Even when the opposition are rattled by you and use foul language to try and get you off side, you still keep going and showing young ones how its done!! You are an inspiration, legend and amazing lady!! 

Renee – Reliable much!! Such great speed and skills and the best laugh on the pitch!! 

Sam – Solid in the backs!! Thanks for joining Sam! 

Suze – Smooth Suze!! Not much fazes you, just get in there and do your job!! Great season. 

Val – Vroom!! Did you see that?? That was Val vrooming past pretty much everyone on the field!! 

Vanessa – Valued member of our team!! Perhaps the most determined on the field!! Also improved out of sight this year!! 

Rachel – RESPECT.  It must be incredibly frustrating not being able to play but you turn up each week supporting us, cheering us on and taking care of all things admin.  You are an integral part of our team!

Now that we have wrapped up another season with the best bunch of ladies that there is going around, it’s time to enjoy some summer vibes and hopefully some dryer weather. The rain gods were not kind to us this year, as such may not have allowed us to perform to our full potential, however for those that are willing, we will be back next year for more laughs, and some great soccer along the way.
