W10C Season Report
This season saw the girls step up to take on the bigger field and discover ways to utilise the extra space. Initially it was a challenge to adjust to this, however our fantastic coaches guided the girls to navigate through this phase.
Our secret weapon to help the girls develop a winning plan was called the “Smiley Face” formation. We didn’t know how great Coach Paul was such a great artist – HAHAHAHA!!!
The best part about our 2020 season was seeing each and every player improve their skills and confidence. From fantastic first touches to brilliant ball control, the girls all had something to be proud of achieving this year.
Let’s introduce the W10Cs in alphabetical order:-
Alexis – A player who would be hungry to chase down the ball and put her body on the line to save a goal.
Charlotte – What a boot you have! We witnessed some magical first touches that created opportunities on the field in both attack and defence.
Ciara – We loved seeing you play with a smile on your face and take on many challenges on the wing.
Delilah – A talented girl who could read the play confidently and make quick decisions to help our team out of sticky situations.
Emily – You are one strong defender! The team felt safe having your skills in the back line and this is where you created some magical moments.
Gemma – Our little pocket rocket who always ran her heart out. She had a few spectacular stacks on field but that didn’t stop her from being a valuable player in the midfield.
Grace – She’s one player who can jump in and make an impact in any position on the field. From attack to defence, Grace is an asset to our team.
Hannah – We loved watching Hannah take on the opposition with her killer ball skills and boot a few goals in to cap things off.
Noa – One minute Noa is holding position in the back line to stop any scoring plays from the opposition. Then she’s up in the front weaving around players and booting goals into the back of the net. What a versatile player!
Skyla – The combination of your fancy footwork and well timed passes in the midfield left the opposition amazed at what just happened.
Thank you to our parents for all of your support and encouragement on the sideline. We loved the variety of “Full Time Wrapped Treats” this season – YUM!
To Coach Paul and Coach Colin – thank you for dedicating time each week to run training session and guide the girls to success on game day.
