W11B – Season Report

There were wins, there were draws,
And even the odd defeat,
But sport is about fun,
And the people that you meet…

BELLA
Our Centre-Mid Star,
With the heart of Lion,
Ferocious in defence,
When those elbows come flying!

PIPER
Runs a marathon every match,
And always at speed,
At the back, then the middle,
She’s wherever there’s need!

GRETA
She kicks the ball hard,
She kicks the ball long,
Whether in-goals or scoring them,
Duck! when Greta’s big-boot comes along!

ZOE
Glides through the midfield,
With her fancy feet,
Scored a cracker against Bosco,
To finally earn her lolly treat!

HARRIET (“HATTIE”)
Our last line of defence,
Sweeping away every attack,
With skill and a smile,
She boots that ball back!

RORY
Sometimes a Striker,
Sometimes a Back,
Scored her very first goal,
With a stunning attack!

MILA
Our new striking force,
Who won the golden boot award,
The coach showed great insight,
In putting her forward!

ELLA
So strong at the back,
Even though she wanted to get forward,
The perfect team player,
And even a goal-scorer!

SHAYLA
A performer on the field,
And also on stage,
Wore the bumps and the bruises,
Like a character ripped from a Shakespearean page

ELVA
Up front like Sam Kerr,
With the matching shirt too,
Scored more than Kerr in the World Cup,
With not one goal but two!

ALEXA
A tackling machine,
Who made her home in midfield,
Launched herself into the opposition,
Like a hero with a shield!

JADE (Manager)
Orange is the new black,
Screamed the manager’s vest,
While I did the coaching,
She did the rest!

FAMILIES
And thank you to the families,
Supporters and friends,
But like every good thing,
The season (like this report) must come to an end.
