W11B Season Report

What an absolute cracking bunch of young ladies this team is, with this season being an obviously distracted one this team managed to put together a season that I was extremely proud of as they were able to withstand lots of pressure on their goals and anytime we were in a position to attack more often than not would the girls as a team find the back of the net.

When we started the season compared to the finish the girls passing game around the park was greatly improved and it showed in their results as well as their team spirit showed on game day or at training whether that be staying positive towards each other during the games or staying together whilst doing laps at training which I know they all enjoyed.

Lilla – (Central Midfield) Lilla played a key role in the team this year being the link between our defence and attack with her exceptional ball control and vision with her passing often turning the opposition backwards along with her attack she was outstanding with her defence often stopping the opposition from pushing forward.

Neve – (Left Midfield) Neve is the most energetic and enthusiastic young lady I have met and that definitely shows when it comes game day. Neve’s passing game was greatly improved this season and adding her passing to her already exceptional ball control skills Neve became a real threat anytime the ball went down the left side.

Riley – (Right Midfield) Riley is a new addition to the team this year and what an addition she was. Riley has great control with the ball and often finding space for the forwards to make an attacking play.

Sochi – (Defender) Sochi was greatly improved this season and I think finding her niche at defender, Sochi would often break down the oppositions attacking play and find a clearing kick to our midfield turning defence to attack.

Ella – (Defender) Ella mostly found herself on the left side of our defence and was a key reason why other teams found it hard to score against us, Ella also found herself filling in at midfield and forward whenever needed making her a great all-rounder.

Malia – (Defender) Malia was our right side defender often popping up to break down the oppositions play without Malia being so reliable at defender the team would have been put under enormous amounts of pressure on our own goal.

Lilly – (Forward) Lilly was our left side forward and once she started to give herself some space became an absolute attacking weapon that would often find the back of the net.

Jade – (Forward) Jade was another new addition to the team this year and what a competitor this young lady is, with her aggressive tackling and great striking ability she managed to score more goals then I could possibly count, as the year moved forward she became more aware of utilising her team mates around her and we were able to create more opportunities.

Bria – (Goal Keeper) Bria was our Goalie this season and wow what a different player she was this year going from a standoffish sometimes lacking confidence girl to becoming a super confident young lady saving many goals and was quite often found barking instructions to her defenders, Well done Knucklehead.
