W11B Season Report
Engadine Eagles W11B’s
Moving up a grade to play in the “B’s” this year was both challenging and rewarding. The girls came to their games each week full of enthusiasm and ready to give it their all. Each girl was given the opportunity to play in all positions at the start of the year and over the course of the season each team member has, I believe found their true positions
Each girl has worked hard to develop their skills, work as part of a team and it’s a real credit to each one of them as to how far they have come.
It was awesome to see the girls return to a full year of soccer, with some new teammates and a step up in division, the girls came together and played as a team and brought their never give up attitude to each game.
There was so many highlights this year, girls scoring for the first time, the encouragement and team spirit to support a player when something didn’t go as planned, being scared to play in goals but then putting their bodies on the line because they didn’t want to let their team mates down. The tears in their eyes after a heartbreaking loss, but those smiles on their faces after a win was something I’ll never forget and makes it all worthwhile!

We were also very fortunate to have both Kye Featherstone from the 18A’s and also the boys and coaching staff of the 10B’s assist with the training and development of our team this year.
Both Kye’s willingness to give up his time to assist with training drills and skill development and the mini games we had against the 10B’s showed that the Eagles community is strong and supportive of female soccer, and this can only be commended.
Special mention also goes to Leigh Blake who was at training each and every week helping out, coaching and training the girls and subbing on the sidelines at the games with me. 14 young ladies can get easily distracted and can be a bit noisy and couldn’t have done it without you – Thank you Leigh!
I’d also like to thank all who put their hand up with ground duty when required and finally all the family, friends and supporters of our team who turned up each and every week to cheer the girls on is greatly appreciated!
It was a real pleasure to coach the girls this season and I encourage them to all come back in 2024.
