2020 Season Report

W15-X Season Report

What a season! We started the year with 10 existing players, 6 new players and 1 returning from a season off. And what a team you became. At the end of the season we finished with 9 wins, 3 draws, no losses, 36 goals for and only 2 goals conceded to finish on top of the table with an 11 goal advantage over Georges River. You all put in 100% every week and should be very proud of your efforts.

As a coach I couldn’t ask for a better bunch of players, you all played the game with the right attitude, and most importantly you played for and supported your mates. It really makes my job as coach easier when everyone wants to be there and puts the team ahead of themselves. Your football improved each week and you could really see the improvement from game to game, you all developed your game as individuals, but more importantly as teammates.

There were some cracking individual and team goals scored, but for me the most rewarding thing was the 2 goals conceded. In 12 games that is an incredible effort and demonstrates just how much you all played for one another. Special thanks to our 3 goal keepers Jess, Caitlin and Diaz, I don’t think you realise how good it is to have 3 players that actually want to be in goals, and as the results show you all excelled.

My thanks to Deb for managing the team once again – you did an awesome job as always, and to Andrew and James for helping out with training when I couldn’t get there.
