UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS

What an outstanding year these ladies have had.

After the heartbreak of drawing in the Final last year to this year not losing a game, this team have really stepped up and shown that they are a great team and will be a title contender next year in the 18a’s comp.

I have mentioned before that Mick and I really love coaching, you all give us and the rest of your team mates the respect that we all deserve. And to have such a young bunch of ladies that are not only talented football players but also beautiful young women makes it a pleasure to be associated with you.

As mentioned above, UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS. We won 17 games this year and only drew the 2 games. And to beet Bonnett Bay in the GF was the icing on the cake as we had not beaten them till that game. To beat every team in the comp is a true indication that you are the best team.

Eve – Our Captain, tough, tenacious and wont take a backwards step. And also a great player as well. You stepped up a few times when needed and delivered. Well done on a good year.

Tyla – You had a great year and your looking better and better each year you play. You are our utility player that can play everywhere and do it well. You are a pleasure to coach.

Steff – Players Player, there is no bigger honour that being voted best player by your peers. It is well deserved. Your ability to read the game and be in the right spot is second to none.

Bree – Coach’s award. What an outstanding year you had in front of goals. Sorry but I lost count of your goal hall there was that many. You are a pleasure to coach.

Em – Another goal sneak up front. Scored many goals as well. When you are on, your ability to hit the target at pace is amazing. Getting better each year.

Am – Your pace and presence in the mid field won us many games. Also a very good player with the ball at your feet. You are becoming a very talented player. Keep up the effort.

Tilly – As tough as they come. Not many got through you in the mid field, nothing bothers you on the field. Just keep doing what you do. Pleasure to coach

Bill – Our Goal Keeper. What an amazing year you had as our first full time keeper. Saved your best game for last in the GF. You have come a long way in 1 year at keeping. Im sure you will improve even more next year.

Caity – Second year playing with us and cementing your spot as a top defender. Very reliable, some great clearances off the line this year. Looking forward to see you improve again next year.

Chloe – Came into our side this year and come out a winner. Improved every game in defence. Did not realise till later in the year this was not your position, but you excelled. Well done

Ava – Also a great defender and occasional mid fielder. You held your own really well this year. Killed it at centre back. Nothing phased you. Great year, well done.

Eloise – Our only 2^nd year 18’s player. The skill, talk and placement on the field really showed your team mates how football is played. Everyone benefited from you playing with us. And what a way to cap it off with your first real premiership.

Sam – Our rock at the back. You have developed into a sweeper that every team dreams of. Your ability to read the play and the cool head you show is a big reason you have a premiership medal. Well done

Lai – Didn’t matter, left, right or centre mid field. You played all the positions with class. You have so much natural talent. A great passing game as well. Great year.

Josie – Your ability to not stop running is amazing. You own that right mid every time you play. Always putting in 110%. Your delivery to the strikers is exceptional. Well done Josie.

Dakota – 3 years ago when you came to us you were quiet, shy and needed a bit of work. 3 years on and you have become a very reliable back, midfielder and also 1 game as sweeper. Your personality is shinning and the football is following. Pleasure to coach. Well done.

To Kelli, our manager. Thanks for organising everything for our team and Mick and i.

Mick, you are a pleasure to coach with. Makes it an easier job to bounce things off each other.

Parents, thanks for your support. It makes Mick’s and my job easier knowing that you are supporting us in every way. You all should be proud of the daughters you have bought up.

Ladies I hope you all return in some capacity next year so we can really give the W18a comp a real shake. Never doubt yourself, you are good enough to reach great heights.
