W6B Season Report
What a terrific season the W6B2’s have had this year. It was the first year of soccer for most of our team, and under the leadership of Coach Gav they all learnt so much and had a tremendous season. Each player was successful in scoring a number of goals. We can’t wait to do it again next year.
From Coach Gav
I was extremely proud of the effort all of the girls put in this year. From day one, they have always tried hard and did their absolute best. The effort they put in at training and skills they learnt they put to good use on the field each week. I was reluctant at first to take on the role of coach, but by season finale I was sad it had come to an end. I am so thankful that every child’s parent participated and supported the team and I couldn’t have done it without them. Go Eagles! See you in 2021.
The Team
Bella Scowen – Bella really came out of her shell this year. Timid at first, by the end of the season she was fierce and ready to take on any opponent that came her way. Bella was a tremendous goal scorer finishing the season with four goals in the very last game.
Bonnie Bishop – Bonnie always persevered during every game. She always tried her absolute best with a beautiful big smile on her face. Bonnie never had a care in the world about getting down and dirty on the field. She had a strong kick that pushed the team forward.
Harriet Gibara – Harriet had a real passion to succeed and never gave up. Through hard work and dedication, her skills flourished in her first year playing soccer. She is already looking forward to the 2021 season.
Piper Harlow – The ultimate defender, Piper can run like the wind and save any goal that was sure to go in. She was determined and tenacious and always there for her team when they needed her most. Piper also was a keen striker and goal scorer for the team.
Zoe Varney – Zoe brought energy, focus and experience to the team this year. She always tried her best and her long legs proved to be a force to be reckoned with. She had great control and determination and also a speed demon on the field. Zoe was great on attack and was a great role model for the girls who were new to playing soccer.
