W7A Season Report

Last year it was the weather! This year a pandemic! – but the delayed start to the season only fuelled the hunger for the girls to get out onto the paddock and give it a red hot go!

Having only had one training session as a way for the girls to meet and get into the groove we opened with a win in the 1st round. It was great to see the enthusiasm of the team – it was like watching seven compressed springs let go!

We had our wins and losses through the season but the girls grew in confidence and ability with each week played and were able to close out the season with a couple of great wins!

A massive thanks to our manager Jeff for keeping us in check throughout the season but also a huge thanks to all the parents, siblings (Ava and Deacon) and grandparents who brought the girls to training and to the games each week. Your support each week helped make the team!

And to the girls, (Ashlyn, Ava, Eleanore, Gracie, Harper, Jada, Kylah) – thanks for making training and the games so much fun – rule #1 right! You should all be extremely proud of your efforts not only as a team but also as individuals!
