The W07A’s had a wonderful season this year, and only wish they could have played the full season.

They had some fantastic games and really enjoyed the opportunity to play in the A grade against some superb teams in the competition.

Under the leadership of the super Coach Gav, this was the girls second year of playing soccer and playing together as a team. The girls have developed a true love for soccer, and each week ran onto the field with a big grin on their face ready to give it their all each game.

The team played in their first Gala Day competition as well which was a really positive experience for them. They have each developed their skill and technique as soccer players and truly bonded together as a team. B ring on 2022, Go Eagles!!

The Team

Piper Harlow – It’s fair to say, Piper finished the season yet again with the title of the ultimate defender. She was able to sprint down the field to save even the most sure of goals. Piper was also a star striker and goal scorer, and might be known to do a cheeky cartwheel on the field at times.

Harriet Gibara – This year, Harriet came into the soccer season with a lot more confidence than last year. She had great control and determination and had a real passion to succeed and never give up. She really showed her improved skills on the field this year through her goal scoring and defending.

Bella Scowen – Bella is fierce and has energy and determination that she brought to every game. She has a strong kick, and was an excellent goal scorer for the team! Bella loved the challenge of a hard game, and always encouraged her teammates to keep their chins up.

Bonnie Bishop – Bonnie always tried her absolute best during every game and really improved in her confidence and grit this year. She pushed the team to do their best, and listened so well to Coach Gav during the games. Bonnie has a ‘never give up’ attitude and it was easy to see how much she l oved playing soccer this year from her big smile each game.

Zoe Varney – Zoe was great on attack for the team, and had an excellent big kick! She is cheeky and tenacious on the field and always tried her hardest during every game. Zoe was also a super star striker, scoring some amazing goals during nail biting moments this season.
