W7B-1 Season Report
What a season, from slow beginnings to long win streaks we had it all. These energetic girls never put their heads down. I never thought as a soccer coach that I would have to tell the players to stop cartwheeling, or at least limit the amount per person. We settled on one cartwheel per goal and if you were the player to score, you were able to do two.
We had back heels and plenty of cracking goals every week. The passing, tacking and overall soccer ability rose substantially throughout the year.
The amount of growth from the start of the season was definitely noticed by everyone who saw them play. Every girl showed great improvement and are growing to be great soccer players for the Eagles and probably the Matilda’s.
There were tears, there were triumphs and maybe a tantrum or 2 from me. We had fun but when it was time to listen, the girls knew it was game time. Thank you to all the parents and other family members who helped out with ground control and provided the oranges/lollies throughout the year.
I cant wait to see what next year holds for this team, the bigger field and endless opportunities await.
Keep cartwheeling girls.
Coach Tim Tam.
