What a season it’s been for our W08D’s! With half of the team brand-new to soccer this year, every training session and every game became a chance to learn, grow, and celebrate the little wins along the way. From positioning and passing to discovering the excitement (and sometimes the nerves!) of playing with a dedicated goalkeeper for the first time, the girls threw themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm.

We’ll admit, it took a little while to shake off those summer soccer habits—like the forcefield around the goal box not allowing them to defend or score (whoops, wrong rules!)—but once the penny dropped, the team never looked back.

The season began with a slow start on the scoreboard, but each week the girls worked harder, listened carefully at training, and picked up new skills. By the midpoint of the season, all that effort began to show. The girls strung together confident passes, held their positions, and turned their energy into game wins.

What never changed, though, was the high energy and spirit they brought to every game. Win or lose, the girls supported one another on and off the field, encouraging their teammates to give their best and celebrating every success as a group.

We are so proud of how far this team has come in just one season. From fresh recruits finding their feet to a confident, united squad, their growth has been incredible to watch. This year has been all about learning, friendship, and teamwork!
