If Football at this age is all about FUN, then we have Won

The W9C family , including players, family and friends have had a blast this year , both on and off the field

On the field we saw success through not only the scoreline, but also the style of football, the teamwork and the passages of play leading up to many of our goals

On many occasions our girls had us, and oppositions supporters gobsmacked with their passing, positional play  and vision

It has been a massive growth year for the girls and they adapted to positional play , now ready for the larger field next year

I want to thank our “Fans” which include Parents, Siblings, Grandparents, Uncles , Aunties and Friends who turn up each week to not only cheer, but to encourage all team members , and also their kind words throughout the season, to Both Coach Barry and myself

Secondly , to you parents who put their trust in us to coach their little superstars , only ever giving support , this is appreciated more than you can understand

To Lisa and Vanessa who allow us to coach this beautiful team and commit to the 6 months , thankyou X

Without the next 2 people guiding the ship , we would be going in circles……..  To Matt and Michelle , you guys allow Barry and I to focus on the games without any stress of paperwork, organising and admin. To us coaches, you take all the stress out. Thankyou so much!

To my P. I.C   (Partner in coaching)  Coach Barry, another year together with these girls and as we say weekly, this is one of our Happy Places. You have done an amazing job this year again , and the proof is in the way these girls play the game. Thanks so much!

We are blessed to have Coach Nath and Coach Kiz in our ranks also and both guys have taken the reins on numerous occasions this year with great success. Its great to see the smiles on Kiara and Indi’s faces when their dads are involved.  Thanks boys so much , we all love you being involved and hope this trend continues

The W9C for 2024

Delaney – The biggest kick on the team matched with the biggest smile. She made the Centre back position her own this year , and our minimal goals against is credit to Del. She is now talking on the field and guiding her teammates in positions , which is great to see

Elliana – This little legend put her hand up for goalkeeper all year , and played half a game each week in goals.  She came out when needed, stayed on the line when needed and instinctively chose the right call each time.  A natural.  When the second half came , she got out there and got involved, scoring some memorable goals and being involved in others

Skyla – The most unassuming player on the pitch. Skyla has the ability to turn a match with one kick.  She has one of the most potent kicks in the comp and if her eye is in, don’t blink because you are about to see something special

Indi –  Don’t judge a book by its cover.  Her Smile and innocent face are just a show.  Once the whistle blows, Indi turns into a player who has to have the ball.  She will match it with the best of them and nearly always comes up with the ball. Her footwork and vision ensures she is always involved with team goals

Blair – Our other half of our Goalkeeping legends . Blair also nominated herself for goalie , and you wont see another keeper who puts her body on the line to protect her goal. Numerous times coming off the field looking like she had gone a few rounds with Mike Tyson.  That determination didn’t stop when she was on the field. Never taking a backwards step

Jaylah – Our Golden boot for 2024 with some first class goals of both individual skill, as well as putting the icing on the cake of some amazing passages of play from team mates.  Her unselfishness and “want”  for her team mates to score also , saw her setup some great goals also

 Kiara – Our new recruit for 2024 , and didn’t she make an impact.  This Kid is the whole package when it comes to football , a true allrounder.   Attacking, defending, play making , passing and scoring some first class goals. an absolute pleasure to coach

Marley – A student of the game , and what I mean by that is that she wants to know why, who, when, what about all my drills and plans for the game. She questions things and puts suggestions forward. This is way beyond her years but shows the dedication she has to the game.  Marley is one of the best defenders , but her  game took the next step this year with her getting opportunities in attack, and she grabbed with both hands. Scoring some crackers

Chloe – One year is a long time in football and the change in Chloe this year has been next level. One of, if not the best runner of the football in the competition.  She has made the wing  her own and she amazes us with her ability to beat with speed then hold the ball up waiting for the best opportunity , then delivering a killer pass!

 River – You won’t find a kid happier to be out there with her team mates. She just loves training , playing and being part of the team.  Her addictive personality ensures the team is always on a high and even when things aren’t going great on the field , she finds a way to lift her team.   She leads by example also and will get in there get the ball , make that tackle or score that goal that changes the whole game
