The score line for a lot of our games this year wasn’t a true representation of our on field presence.

The season started off with some big wins, 7-2,11-0 and 5-0. By no means did this show a weakness by the other teams, but a strength to our team- working together, strong shots on goal, great attack and rock solid defence.

These attributes helped the boys gain confidence in their ability but also in the support by their teammates.

I heard how disappointed the boys were if training were to be cancelled or the weekend games. The boys loved coming to training, learning skills and I really enjoyed what they had to offer.

Each week we had a handful of boys from other teams come and join us to train and even played against the 11Cs on occasion. Although they had 2 years on us the boys really took the challenge and gave it their all.

The year finished up with only 2 draws and 2 losses, winning the rest. Despite many rained out games, it was a great year for all. We look forward to what next year brings.
