What a fantastic year it has been for the Under 13 A’s Engadine Eagles!

For many of these boys, this was their first year playing together as a team. They came from a mix of lower grades and successfully trialled to make the A Grade squad. As expected, it took some time for the boys to learn how each other played, understand their teammates’ strengths and find their best positions on the field.

From the very beginning, however, they showed commitment and determination. Training twice a week, they worked hard, listened, learned and fought for every game. Watching their confidence grow and seeing how much they improved throughout the season was one of the most rewarding parts of the year.

As first-year coaches, we also learned so much throughout the season and genuinely enjoyed the experience. We are incredibly proud of this group. Every player brought their own unique skills and qualities to the team, and together they developed into a much stronger, more connected and competitive side.
