2026 Season Report

W8D Season Report

What a fantastic season for the Engadine Eagles Woman’s Under 8D’s! The girls had a brilliant year, finishing fourth in the league, but more importantly, having plenty of fun along the way. It was great to see how much they improved as the season went on — working hard for each other, growing in confidence and really starting to play together as a team.

There were plenty of memorable moments along the way, including several last-gasp wins, some brilliant goals and saves, and of course lots and lots of cartwheels! Another highlight was our end-of-season party at training, which finished with the kids taking on the adults in a game — and, much to the adults’ disappointment, coming away with the win! But probably the best part of the season was seeing the friendships that developed within the team. Most of the girls didn’t know each other when the season started, but it didn’t take long for them to become a close group who enjoyed playing, celebrating and having fun together every week.

Every girl contributed to what was a really enjoyable season and brought something different to the team. They should all be incredibly proud of how far they’ve come, both individually and as a group. It’s been an absolute pleasure coaching them this year, and hopefully they’ve made plenty of great memories along the way. Well done, Eagles!
