What a fantastic season it was for the W10C2’s girls!

It was just awesome to watch the girls grow throughout the season, learning new skills, building their confidence and improving week after week. Each player brought her own unique strengths to the team, and as the season progressed it was fantastic to see the girls discover where they could make their biggest impact on the field.

Some found confidence and a real love for striking and scoring goals, while others discovered their strengths in defence and making important tackles. Others showed just how valuable they could be by covering the field, strategically passing the ball and helping wherever they were needed. Watching the girls develop an understanding of their positions and grow in confidence was one of the real highlights of the season.

The girls started the season with varying levels of soccer experience but Coach Luey did a fantastic job of bringing the best out of every player. At every training session and every game, Luey encouraged the girls to have a go, support each other and most importantly play for enjoyment.

The girls approached every game with positivity and enthusiasm. There were certainly some awesome wins along the way, but the biggest win of the season was the friendships they made. Seeing the girls encourage one another and build such a strong team bond has been very special.

A huge congratulations to this team on a wonderful season. You should all be so proud of how far you’ve come, both as soccer players and as a team.

Bring on the 2027 season!
