The 2026 season was an absolute cracker for Eagles Mini F.C. as we broke the club record by welcoming a phenomenal 104 registered children to our football family! Every Sunday morning, Anzac Oval looked magnificent as our keen group of 3-5 year olds split into their age groups. They completely flooded the pitches in their brand-new blue T-shirts with crisp white writing and their names proudly printed on the back—to make it a lot easier for the coaches to know who was who! We had children out playing every single week, and seeing our pitches packed with so many wee superstars looking like a proper team was just fabulous.

Looking after such a massive, energetic group is always lively, but the progress the kids made was incredible. This unforgettable season simply would not have been possible without Molly organising our Sunday morning sessions and placing everyone into the children’s different age groups, alongside Jen who stepped up to run the nursery squad this year with our cracking team of young coaches aged between 13 and 17. Seeing our club’s teenagers step up as role models, run the drills with endless patience, and reliably setting up all the gear and packing it all away at the end of each session was incredibly inspiring.

To top it all off, our final round on Sunday, 2 August 2026, was a brilliant laugh thanks to Molly thinking up our fabulous theme, Under the Sea or something Blue. It turned out to be a fantastic mixture of dress-up and blue, and seeing the fields packed with so much colour and fun outfits made for an absolute standout end to a wonderful winter of football.

A massive thank you to Molly and our cracking team of young coaches:

Molly • Jenson • Morgan • Jet • Mitchell • Alex • Ryan • Jade • Darcy • James • Liam • Zac • Remy • Kia • Finlay G • Jordan • Kieran • Nola • Tayton • Josh • Brayden • Talan • Charlie • Tom • Ayden • Finlay N.

It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Molly and this incredible group of young coaches all winter. Thank you also to our wonderful families for bringing the players down and cheering loudly from the sidelines for a historic, record-breaking year.

C’mon the Eagles Mini F.C.

Kind regards,

Jen
