What a season it has been for our boys!

This year we started out as a brand-new team, with just 11 players taking on their very first season of 11-a-side football. We began in the A’s, and with such a small squad, there were times when we had players away or boys playing through injuries, which made things challenging at times.

The first few weeks were certainly tough, but the boys never gave up. After being regraded to the B’s, everything started to click. We began to see what this team was truly capable of, moving up the ranks and showing incredible improvement week after week.

With amazing coaching, positive teamwork, developing skills and, most importantly, the determination of the boys, we finished an incredible 3rd in the league.

Of course, we would have loved to take out the top spot, and although it wasn’t meant to be this year, I think the boys have shown us that they absolutely have the ability to do it. This season has given them the confidence, strength and determination to come back next year even stronger.

But the biggest win this season hasn’t just been where we finished on the ladder. It’s watching these boys grow — not only as soccer players, but as teammates and friends. They’ve supported each other, encouraged each other, had plenty of laughs and, most importantly, had fun along the way.

You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved this season.

And a huge thank you to our coaches, families and everyone who has supported the team throughout the year.

Here’s to a fantastic season, great memories, new friendships and an even bigger year ahead.
