The 2026 season for Under 6i2 was a wonderful journey. Defined by enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and tremendous growth. With a roster of seven players and only four allowed on the field at a time, our matches required constant player rotation. Remarkably, the boys adapted to this with incredible maturity, not a single player ever argued or complained about substitutions. They stepped off the field just as eagerly as they stepped on, always ready to encourage their teammates from the sideline and enjoy each other’s company.

Every weekend, these boys played with unmatched determination and never gave up, regardless of the score. It was an absolute privilege to coach such a receptive, hardworking, and well-mannered group. As the season progressed, their individual skills and overall understanding of the game improved significantly, developing confident passing, better positioning, and genuine teamwork. What stood out most, however, was the strong bond the boys formed; their camaraderie and shared joy were evident in every practice and match.

A successful season is always a team effort off the field as well, and our parent group was exceptional. Thank you to all the families for their constant support, positive sideline energy, and for being such a wonderful group to spend our weekends with. Of course, special appreciation goes to the reliable supply of halftime oranges and full-time lollies, which became a cherished matchday tradition. Overall, it was an immensely successful and rewarding season, and we can all be proud of everything these seven young players achieved together!
