This year was a winning year for our team, built on hard work, commitment, determination and, most importantly, a strong focus on supporting each other.

Everyone played an important role in our success, and every player contributed to what became a season we will never forget.

We started the season strongly, remaining undefeated until Round 7, when we suffered what would be our only loss of the year.

That loss lit a fire under the team. From the moment that final whistle went, I saw something change. At our next training session, there was a different attitude — a steely focus and determination that stayed with the boys for the remainder of the season.

We secured the Minor Premiership with three matches still remaining, but despite having already achieved that milestone, the boys never lost sight of the bigger goal.

We faced Bangor in the Semi-Final. It was a very competitive game, but the boys held their nerve and came away with a fantastic 2–0 victory.

Then came the school snow trip. With half the team heading away, we could only pray to whoever would listen that the boys would all return safely and ready for the Grand Final!

It was then on to the Grand Final, where we would meet Bangor once again.

We knew what to expect — and we got exactly that.

After going a goal down within the first 10 minutes, the team showed incredible fight, composure and belief. They didn’t panic. They stayed together and fought their way back into the game with a long range goal from Linc , going into half-time at 1–1.

In the second half, the boys had settled any nerves and were back playing our type of football. We created plenty of chances, but somehow none of them found the back of the net.

As extra time started to loom, it looked like we might need even more time to find that winning goal.

Then came the moment.

A flick-on from Hunter found Max, and suddenly we had the second goal we had been searching for all afternoon.

There were still six minutes left to play — six minutes that felt more like an hour! But our midfield and backs stood up as they have done all year.

The boys held on. After everything they had put into the season, it was exactly what these boys deserved.

A dominant year. Minor Premiers – Premiers.

They worked for each other, supported each other, fought for each other and never gave up.

I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.

Thank you to Luke Dowling and Karen Seary for all the help this year

Thank you to all the parents for raising great young men.

What a season to remember.
