W9A Team Annual Report

The girls had a very successful 2026 season, it included beating our arch nemesis, broken bones, countless colds and a whole lot of fun on the football pitch.

Over the course of the season, the team played 16 matches, achieving:

• 8 Wins
• 5 Draws
• 3 Losses
• 20 Goals Scored
• 11 Goals Conceded

From training to game days, the girls put in the effort, and it showed with our results. We had contributions from all over the field and the way the girls have progressed this year is a testament to their coach Celeste. The depth of knowledge and effort Celeste brings week in week out is a big reason our girls did so well this year.

Now for the team:

Liv – Our brick wall in goals, always happy to take one for the team and protect our net. When Livvy is out of goals, she is tracking the ball wherever she is needed.

Addie – try and get a ball passed her in defence, it’s not going to happen. Addie has been our trusty back all year and is a big reason why we only conceded 11 goals all year.

Val – New to the team this year, Val fit in like she has been here for years. Although her season was cut short by a broken arm, she was a great asset to the team and could play anywhere she was needed. Val continued to support her teammates while she was recovering from her injury by screaming from the sideline.

Sofia – Our pocket rocket, Sofia doesn’t stop, she has energy to burn and is always around the ball. Defence or attack, Sofia is there.

Skyla – Miss versatile, need a solid defender or attacker, Skyla is your girl. She can play anywhere and do it well.

Zuri – 100% effort into every tackle, pass and shot. Zuri plays with passion and when the game is getting tough, she is someone you want on your side because she never gives up.

Adele – A left foot to envy and a keeper’s nightmare, Adele can hit a ball which no keeper would dare try and stop. She scored countless goals for us this year. The bigger goals next year will no doubt triple her goal tally.

Cedar – A versatile player with skill across the park. Put her in goals and she makes the save of the year vs on of our toughest rivals.

Sydnie – Speed machine, used her speed to beat her opposition to the ball and was handy attacking around the goals too.

Hazel – Her long legs stopped the opponents in their tracks, Hazel turned up to support her team even if she was sick. She can slot into any position around the park.

The players should be proud of their achievements and the progress they have made both individually and as a team.

A big shoutout to all parents, grandparents, siblings and anyone else whose support and dedication made the season possible and enjoyable.
